HELP WITH WATCHING VIDEOS
- Click on any video link on our site to view video content.
- Some content is currently restricted for subscribers only.
- If you are a subscriber, please refer to your concert emails for passwords and direct links to performances.
HOW TO WATCH A LIVESTREAM
- Click on the LIVE page. Our most current livestream will play here.
- Type in the password provided to you in your concert email in order to access the livestream.
- Alternatively, from the WATCH page, click on a performance’s “WATCH HERE” or “WATCH ON VIMEO” button.
- Type in the password provided to you in your concert email in order to access the livestream.
- Livestreams are currently restricted to subscribers as a subscription benefit.
- If you miss a livestream or would like to rewatch the performance, each livestream will be archived and accessible from the REPLAY page.
- You may also click on the direct link in your concert email.

THE EASIEST WAY TO WATCH
- Go to the Virtual Concert Hall on your computer, smartphone, or tablet.
- Click on the LIVE page.
- Type in the password provided to you in your concert email in order to access the livestream.
- Alternatively, from the Watch page, click on a performance’s “WATCH HERE” or “WATCH ON VIMEO” button.
- Type in the password provided to you in your concert email in order to access the livestream.
THE EASIEST WAY TO WATCH ON YOUR TV
In order to watch from your tv, you need to have a media device connected.
Compatible streaming devices include:
– Apple TV
– Android TV
– Chromecast
– Roku
- Go to the Virtual Concert Hall on your computer, smartphone, or tablet.
- From the WATCH page, click on a performance’s “Watch Here” or “Watch On Vimeo” button.
- Type in the password provided to you in your concert email in order to access the livestream.
- Send the video on your computer/smartphone/tablet display to your TV via one of the compatible devices listed above. This action is called “Airplay” on Apple devices and called “Casting” on non-Apple devices.
VIEWING THE LIVESTREAM ON YOUR TV WITH THE BEST QUALITY
In order to watch directly from your tv, you will need to download the YouTube App (not the YouTubeTV App) from an App Store located directly on a device that is connected to your TV.
Compatible devices include:
– Apple TV (4th Generation)
– Android TV
– Roku
– Amazon Fire TV devices
– Smart TV’s with their own App Store
- Download the YouTube app from the above device’s store.
- Click here for Apple app store instructions. Search for “YouTube” in the tvOS App Store.

- Go to YouTube.com on your computer or portable device and log into your Google account. Please Note: YouTube is owned by Google. If you have a Gmail account, that account will work for YouTube! If you do not have a Gmail account, create a free Google account and log in.
- From the CSO Virtual Concert Hall, click on the LIVE page.
- Type in the password provided to you in your concert email in order to access the live stream.
- On computers, select the clock icon located in the top right corner of the resulting live stream image. This will add the live stream to your YouTube account’s “Watch Later” section.
- On mobile devices, select the three vertical dots located it the top right corner of the resulting live stream image. Touch “Watch Later” to add the live stream to your YouTube account’s “Watch Later” section.
- PLEASE NOTE: If you have more than one Gmail/YouTube account, the “Watch Later” option may not work on mobile devices (it may save the live stream to the incorrect account). As a work around, select “Share” instead of “Watch Later”. Choose “Copy” to copy the YouTube video address (URL). Paste this url into the address bar. Once the video loads, select “Save” below the video and select “Watch Later”.
- Open the YouTube app on the device attached to your TV and log in with the same YouTube/Google account that you logged in with on your computer or portable device.
- Navigate to your account’s ‘Watch Later” section. You will now see the upcoming CSO live stream.
- Select and watch!
VIEWING ANY VIDEO FROM OUR REPLAY PAGE ON YOUR TV USING THE VIMEO APP
Vimeo is the home for all Charleston Symphony archived video content! If you would like to view content from our REPLAY page on your TV, and can’t Airplay or Cast (see above), you can also do so via the Vimeo app. In order to use the Vimeo app, you have to download it to a compatible TV or connected device.

– Amazon Fire TV devices
– Smart TV’s with their own App Store
- Download the Vimeo app from the above device’s store.

- Go to Vimeo.com on your computer or portable device. Create a free account and log in.
- On the same device that you used to log into Vimeo, go to our REPLAY page and select a video that you want to watch.
- Click on the clock icon located in the top right corner of the video to add the video to “Watch Later”.
- Open the Vimeo app on the device attached to your TV (or Start TV menue) and follow onscreen instructions to link your TV with your Vimeo account.
- On your TV, navigate to your account’s ‘Watch Later” section in the Vimeo app. You will now see the video you selected on the REPLAY page.
- Select and watch!
